meet the team

Nina is the founder of the award winning youth arts charity Peer Productions and has created, designed and delivered Generation Girls since it began in 2015. She is a Playwright and director who focuses on making theatre for social change. 

 

Lucy is an actor, facilitator and theatre maker who focuses on making feminist theatre, she is also part of the core GG facilitation team! She is passionate about making theatre that promotes change and does this through her theatre company Dollybox. 

 

Phoebe is an actor working in theatre and film professionally. Her credits include feature film ‘Brighton’. She trained in facilitation and inclusive practice with the National Youth Theatre after being cast in the play ‘What am I Worth?’ In 2018 which was a politically charged joint project with Extraordinary Bodies, Diverse City and NYT. This summer Phoebe will be at the Camden Fringe Festival in a new play.

 

Rosie is the Outreach Co-ordinator for Peer Productions. She is a facilitator, actor and theatre maker who specialises in working with Autistic girls and loves being part of this project.

 

Mads is a community theatre practitioner with over 7 years of experience. They put collaborative work at the forefront of their practice and are passionate about the support of mental health and the use of comedy within their work. 

 

Becky is a freelance Arts Facilitator and Theatre Producer based in Reading. She has worked with various companies, communities and young people across the UK. Becky’s practice is rooted in devised theatre and collaboration, often supporting projects that are socially engaged and formally exciting. Also, she is the Producer of ShyBairn Theatre who create live performance for social change.

Alice has been the administrator for Peer Productions since March 2021 after graduating from the University of Reading. Alice works hard sorting out logistics to keep Generation Girls running smoothly. When she isn’t busy working she makes her own theatre and loves making jewellery too. 

 

Lydia is an artist, actor, puppeteer and facilitator. As well as being co-artisitc director of Planet B productions, she also works for many theatre companies (including Smoking Apples Theatre) sharing her creativity and passion for puppetry! Lydia is one of our core facilitators here at GG.

Kathleen is an international model and speaks French and English. She gave a speech at the United Nations, has modelled in Paris and worked with River Island a few times and even with Tommy Hilfiger. She took part in LFW in 2019 and 2020 and was featured in the Elle UK magazine as one of their 50 game changers in their 2019 list. She loves fashion and dancing and is the voice of our GG character - Katie! 

Tylan is the actor who voices our GG character, C.J. They play Brooke Hathaway in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks. They joined the cast at the age of 16yrs and were the first autistic actor to play an autistic lead character in a UK drama. Tylan has been nominated for various awards including, Best Newcomer at the Soap Awards 2019, Best Young Actor in a Soap at TV Choice Awards 2019 and Best Celebrity at the National Diversity Awards 2019. Tylan is a keen campaigner for neuro-diversity, particularly autism.

Simran is the voice of our GG character Simran. She is an actress from the Midlands Region and has always had a keen interest in using theatre to share political messages and educate an audience. Simran has worked in TV, Radio and on the stage and has a particular interest in projects that explores the psychology of the mind. 

Natalya is an actor and sensory practitioner. She has joined us on this project as a sensory consultant.  She has worked on projects such as shows, installations and digital work with companies including Oily Cart, artsdepot, Boundless Theatre, Carbon Theatre, 20 Stories High, Discovery Children's Story Centre plus more. Ananya is a freelance illustrator and chronic illness advocate who uses her work to express herself post-brain injury and as someone living with MS. Vivid, vibrant and explorative, Ananya’s illustrations explore the lived experiences of women in relation to chronic illness, racism and sexism, using colours inspired by nature to create wild, tropical backdrops to bring her work to life. She describes herself as a feminist illustrator and an advocate for people with invisible illnesses.

Kudzai is an actor and singer-song writer. She is the Generation Girls ambassador and visiting artist. She has a successful acting career working on a number of shows and companies. Including credits with BBC, ‘Rockets and blue lights’ at the Manchester Royal Exchange and The Royal Shakespeare Company.
